5 Reasons Why The Nintendo Switch Still Must Have Console For Holidays – Review Geek

The holiday season is fast approaching. If you are considering a new console purchase, there are five good reasons to make it into the Nintendo switch.

It may not be the brand new girlfriend of the console world anymore, but it's still the must-have console for this time of year. Here are 5 reasons why that is the case.

It's perfect for the whole family

Usually is the holiday to get young and old. Hours and days will be used with all parts of your extended family from your grandmother to your little cousin who is only at an age where the consoles look like fun. Nintendo Switch is the perfect console for all these people. Seriously.

See, Playstation 4 and Xbox One are great, but they assume a certain level of knowledge when it comes to using a console or even a game controller. The switch does not. It is super intuitive and Joy-Cons is very well designed. They are small enough for a young child to get on yet strong enough that an adult does not feel like they're snapping it.

Thanks to the simple buttons and many games that do a good job of explaining things, you will not be left with the task of deciphering everything for beginners. It is also the fact that the majority of games are perfect for all age groups. There is something for everyone.

The Exclusives Are Pretty Great

Games that are exclusive to a console are generally what makes you want to buy that console. In the case of Nintendo Switch, the exclusions are very beautiful. Nintendo has always made great first-party games and they have really gone for it. We covered the best must have exclusions earlier this year, but let me guide you through some beautiful, clear future memories.

Consider uploading the Zelda doctor: Breath of the Wild with the child's brother or sister. They have not played a Zelda game before. This is a very cool moment for both of you. You wander the fields in the game, taking the apparently endless potential of what you can do before you transfer the controller and let them check out a cool dungeon.

Sounds amazingly idyllic, right? If it's a bit limited to just a few people watching.

It's when you switch it up to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and the whole family goes in with some entertaining races, which of course just require you to split Joy-Con controls. Or you jump into Super Mario Party for some super fun collaborative or competing Mario-themed mini games.

And do not forget about Nintendo Labo! It somehow makes massive cardboard pieces for the most exciting game innovations for children we have seen this year.

Just before Christmas, the new Super Smash Bros game – Ultimate-arrives, and well, it's safe to say there's going to be a crazy amount of fun.

It's The Perfect Party Console

No console can beat Nintendo Switch for party games. Hardware, the ability to share happiness between the whole family means you do not have to worry too much about spending a lot of cash on accessories. Really though, it's the games to hook everyone.

We took a look at some of the best games to play with the family as well as the best titles for the co-op couch and wow, there is so much choice!

For non-players out there, it's something like 1-2-Switch or Snipperclips, because they're both very intuitive to figure out. Being able to solve heart riders or quirky mini games with your mom who has never gamed before is sure to be satisfactory.

For the more conventional gamer there are always Arms or Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Puyo Puyo Tetris was also a big hit in my household last Christmas because Tetris is something that many people have played at some point. Even if it's just on its phone.

It's Super Portable

I almost did not bother to connect the Nintendo switch to my TV. Most of the time, I play it in portable mode so I can take it out with me. Thanks to its smooth running in portable mode, I can pull it out while visiting a friend, or at a local bar or coffee shop. It's great for the fast games while on the move. A few times I've just taken it from one end of the house to the other and skipped it to a TV. It's perfect for when you're all comfy on the couch snuggled up to a loved one and is not bothered by the big screen experience. As the ideal mix between phone games and conventional gaming.

Portability also means that it's ideal if you want to pack easily before visiting your family. You only need the device and a charger. Aside from, charging is even more a breeze than you expect. The console only requires a USB Type-A for Type C cable, and they are super common now. You can charge it from a smartphone USB charger that is plugged into a wall outlet, a USB port on your laptop or virtually anything that has a USB port. It does not pick up as fast as via the power adapter, but it's nice to know that the option is there.

It's full of joy

The amazing thing about virtually all Nintendo consoles, but especially the switch, is that they are just so much funny . The Xbox One and PlayStation 4 have some amazing titles. Games that look incredibly realistic and focus on giving you a true and credible experience. Nintendo switch, but? No. The games here focus on fun first and do not really break with realism. That's just the kind of thing we all need over the festive period. A small, light-filled escapism from an often too strong world.

Bouncing around in Super Mario Odyssey is a really enjoyable experience. The type that will brighten up in the living room with smile and happiness. Lifting forward in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe in the last second, will give memories as you will remember every year later. Although it's a matter of "damnit, uncle Joe. You've only won because you had a green bell", you're going to be brilliant at the thought.

It's the memories that means the Nintendo switch, sure to be a fairly important part of your festive plans.
