Many people love to hate Adobe, often for no good reason. And lately, Adobe has delivered solid improvements to Photoshop and Lightroom.
But … when I disable all available updates and sync cruft that I do not want and never want, it is annoying that even when I do not use Adobe software (or have not used it all day!), Adobe not only rotates my work environment as shown, but chews up almost a gigabyte of memory– for absolutely zero value.
Software coded this way deserves scorn (BTW, Apple does too). I have reported on it twice Adobe twice now, but so far there is no statement that this will be addressed. Apple is a hopeless case with so much crapware running that it’s not even fun, and it̵
Adobe: I accept that it may have to run while using Adobe software. But when all this shit will not disappear when it’s Adobe software not in use, it transforms into unwanted crapware. Adobe, stop connecting your customers!
