Advanced Swift Workshop in New York City
I will hold another one-day workshop on advanced Swift programming in New York City on May 4th. This will be much the same as my previous in Washington in December, in a new location and with different tweaks and improvements. If you like my articles and want to sharpen your Swift skills, check it out.
I will discuss in and out of ARC and memory management, reference cycles, enums, generics, code design to utilize enums and generics, pointer APIs and interfaces with C APIs. Participants will receive a variety of Xcode playgrounds that illustrate everything we discuss, as well as the presentation glasses.
The format will be part-lecture, playground exercises, with good opportunity for discussions and personal help.
For more information, or to buy tickets, visit the event page. If you know someone who may come, please send the word!
Another book update, since my last workshop post included one: I have completed my last reading and am in the process of fixing the issues that were revealed. Then it's clear to go! I have no date for it, but it will be close.
