Hello everyone! I am slowly learning to create apps on iOS and decided to have my developer account opened today so I can check out iTunes Connect and how the submission process works. Unfortunately, it seems that Apple is limiting anyone under the age of 18 to creating a developer account. This sucks, but I understand why (because minors cannot enter into a binding legal agreement etc. Etc.)
This gives a damper on my plans, but I am thinking of publishing under the parent's account. I have investigated something, and yes, Apple allows this, provided the legal guardian has the final statement on each procedure on that account. The problem is that I won't publish under the parent's account forever. Plus my birthday comes up in two months, which puts me over the legal age requirement of being 1
Is it possible to transfer the whole account from one device to another? When I am 18, is there a way to move the developer account from the parent's Apple ID to my Apple ID? Or is this impossible?
If (1) is not possible, and if I decide to move the app between two developer accounts, where clean is the process, and are warnings / pitfalls I need to be aware of? I don't want to spend $ 99 twice (and IMHO, the pricing for the accounts is absolutely outrageous) so if the whole process is going to be more hassle-free than it's worth, I think I'll stay on the two months until I blow out the lights and become a legal adult. Any advice appreciated: D
