Apple fans should not expect revelations of the company’s rumored earphones and an alleged item tracking device, called AirTag, at its online product event next Tuesday.
This is according to Jon Prosser, a highly regarded leaker who is generally reliable, but sometimes does not get time frames, prices and other information 100 percent correct.
“I am told that Apple has pushed back the announcement and launch of AirTags by March 2021,” Prosser wrote in a tweet. And according to another tweet he published earlier this morning, Apple will have at least two models of AirPods Pro:
- $ 350 model: A sporty version made of cheaper materials
- $ 599 model: A luxurious variant made of leather and metal
An alleged video showing a sporty variant of the AirPods Studio was leaked last month.

Codenamed “B515”, the $ 599 premium variant is expected to have magnetic ear cups. There will be no headphone jack, as these are Bluetooth wireless headphones that use Apple’s headphone jack. It should be a USB-C port for charging, and according to Bloomberg’s well-informed Mark Gurman, a reversible design and automatic L / R ear detection.
Processes also shared renderings of the headphones based on these specifications.

Prosser claims that mass production of these premium headphones will not be completed until October 20. If true, it will give Apple two options: either they can announce them at the October 13 event and ship at the end of the month (or early-November) or they can opt for a silent announcement with a press release at the time Apple chooses. However, he has learned that Apple has delayed the introduction. “It has now been confirmed to me from three sources that AirPods Studio will not be participating in the event,” he tweeted this morning.
Updated information from my sources about the iPhone event on October 13th.
Digitimes was right earlier this year. 6.1 units come first. Mini & Pro Max in Nov.
As for prices, I do not have personally updated information. Source says $ 649 starting price for Mini (64 GB)

Last but not least, leaker has confirmed previous claims that the two 6.1-inch iPhone 12 models will be launched first, with the iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 Pro Max scheduled to launch next month. The requirement is in line with today’s leak of estimated prices, released dates and features for the iPhone 12 family, including things like storage capacity and finish.
