The report also says that the Apple Watch Series 6 may also be announced at the October event, unlike previous reports that the new smartwatch will be released with a new iPad in September.
According to Chinese supplier information, it appears that Apple is preparing to announce the loss prevention tag ‘Air Tag’ at the online event in the iPhone 12 series, Apple Watch Series 6, which will be held in the second half of October 2020 … To begin with, it was supposed to be announced at about the same time as the iPhone SE (2nd generation), but it seems that it was delayed due to some circumstances.
Macotakara also says that AirTags may be compatible with the new App Clips feature in iOS 14, but does not explain what kind of functionality the integration will enable.
It also appears that AirTag may be able to work with app clips, as opposed to third-party loss prevention codes.
Apple is expected to announce a new series of iPhones in September or October with availability delayed from the regular September release to sometime in October and even as far back as November for some models.
