I ran out of ports on my audio bar as I have my PS4 and Blu-ray player connected, so I went out and got an HDMI switch that had good reviews. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06W2FY77J
I put my 4K Apple TV and a Chromecast Ultra into the switch. When I enter the Apple TV video settings, I only saw a maximum output of 1080p. I re-connected the cables, restarted all devices, but still only got 1080p. I disconnected the Chromecast and still only 1080p.
Finally, I took the Apple TV and plugged it straight into the audio bar, and I suddenly saw 4K as an option. So, based on troubleshooting, the HDMI switch seems to somehow limit the resolution to only 1080p. That seems nice since I thoroughly checked the product page and thought it should work. Before I buy another switch, is there anything I can try? Any recommendations for a good switch?
