Apple activates 'sleeping software lock' on the latest iPhones (and more) – Apple World Today




AppleInsider reports that Russia has joined the list of countries looking into alleged breaches of Apple's antitrust law, this time over the removal of parental monitoring applications from the App Store.

Apple introduces an extended bug-busting program covering macOS, tvOS, watchOS and iCloud as well as iOS devices, Apple Security Manager Ivan Krstić announced this afternoon at the Black Hat Conference in Las Vegas, reports MacRumors .

Per macReports : Apple is currently testing a total of 69 cars on public roads in California, according to the California Department of Motor Vehicles. The company also has 143 registered security drivers in the state. This is an increase in drivers since April 24, when Apple had 69 test vehicles and 110 registered drivers. This means that Apple has been allowed 33 more self-driving vehicles since April while holding the same number of cars.

Apple is reportedly investigating the privacy and security of free VPN apps made available on its platforms, according to a report by researcher Simon Migliano.

Samsung spent years rolling Apple in commercials. Now it is cloning an iPhone feature it scorned and deleted the ads, reports Business Insider.
