Apple announces first MacBook Pro with 8-core CPU, new keyboard, 13-inch model gets Quad-Core Chip

Apple today launched a new wave of MacBook Pro 13-inch and 15-inch laptops, with the 15-inch model being the first to be powered by an 8-core Intel CPU, while the 13-inch model receives one quad CPU upgrade.

The 8-core chip on the new 15-inch Macbook Pro makes for a machine that is 40% faster than the 6-core option, and twice as fast as quad-core one.

Although these speed enhancements will undoubtedly be highly dependent on the software and workflow used by professionals, speed increases are more than remarkable with the new 8th and 9th generation Intel Core processors being used. [19659004] "Regardless of whether university students who master a degree program, developers build world-class apps or video editors who create feature films, we are constantly amazed at what our customers are doing with the MacBook Pro," said Tom Boger, Apple's senior director of Mac Product Marketing.

"Now with 8 core processors for an incremental performance enhancement, along with its amazing Retina display, fast storage, all-day longevity and running macOS, MacBook Pro is still the world's best pro notebook and we can't wait to Get it into the customer's hands to see what they are doing next. "While new, faster laptops are always welcome, the biggest change for most people here will be the inclusion of a revised Butterfly keyboard. The MacBook lineup as a whole has been plagued by missing keyboards and wrenches for many years at this time, and Apple has so far been unable to find a solution.

With this new version, The Verge reports that "new materials" are being used, although Apple does not say what it really means.

Apple says it uses "new materials" in the switch mechanism to reduce the incidence of double and lost key presses. It will broadcast on the new MacBook Pro 15-inch and MacBook Pro 13-inch with the Touch Bar as it just announced.

The company had no announcements if it would use this "new material" on other MacBooks it sells in the future.

The current state of Apple's MacBook keyboards as a whole is so poor that it has been difficult to recommend anyone to pick up one of Apple's laptops at all. This new revision can correct it for the MacBook Pro, but we have to wait and see how it pans when people spend weeks and months with them. We are not sure we would be willing to be people who tested the keyboard, but especially in terms of the money needed to get into one.

The new MacBook Pro is available in both 13-inch and 15-inch configurations starting at $ 1799 (quad-core) and $ 2,399 (6-core), while the 8-core 15-inch Macbook Pro starts with a total of $ 2,799.
