Apple has purchased digital marketing startup DataTiger, according to a new report from Bloomberg. The expiry date of a December December filing filing with the iPhone manufacturer is now controlling the UK company.
The UK-based startup states that technology can "optimize marketing travel" to customers by using data to send more accurate materials to consumers as well as push notifications. In his LinkedIn profile, DataTiger's CEO Philipp Mohr said his company wants to "bring the crazy era to mailing list thought" and slow campaign-based marketing to an end. "
This is just the latest in a long line acquisition for Apple, but relatively few (if any) of their buyouts have been in the marketplace. It comes at an interesting time, with the iPhone sales coming lower than expected in
