Earlier this week, iPhone in Canada first told you health Canada had approved the electrocardiogram (ECG) app for Apple Watch, making way for more heart features for the wearable.
Now, in a statement to the Canadian Press Apple has confirmed the ECG app is coming to Canada for Apple Watch Series 4 users, but did not specify the timing of the launch:
The company says in a statement to The Canadian press will bring the heart health features of Apple Watch Series 4 to Canada as soon as possible but a spokeswoman declined to provide an estimated time of arrival.
Health Canada also told the Press it had approved two Apple licenses within its medical device section, confirming what we told you earlier this week.
The Press also writes, "A person with knowledge of Apple's procedures said on background that the heart features will be enabled Canada when the company updates the watch's operating system software but the timing of the update wasn't known. ”
