Yes, we know that Apple is a design and engineering plant, despite the small MacOS High Sierra root access bug. It's already fixed. Move together. Nothing to see here. Nevertheless, similar overviews are still visible.
Apple's top design honcho, Jonny Ive, is credited with such affordable luxury balls like iPhone, iPad, AirPod, Watch, and probably has its finger in all other techno cakes like Apple baker. What we have not heard from Apple is who is responsible for the latest design disasters to grace Apple Stores.
A mouse is a personal thing. No, not Mickey from Disney or Remy from Ratatouille. The mouse we use to move the pointer around on the Mac. Yes, eight out of 1
Whether you like Magic Mouse or not, that's not the problem. It's a mouse. It works. I have used them for years and have no problem with size or capabilities. It's just a mouse. Except one thing. Apple improved Magic Mouse a year or two ago, and they killed the two AA batteries for a rechargeable lithium-ion battery.
Improvement, right? How do you pick up Magic Mouse? In this way.
Turn the little puppy over again and hold it in a lightning to USB cable to charge. Guess what? You can not use Magic Mouse while it is charging.
Actually, Apple? Dumb. Was Magic Mouse designed by trainees on a Sunday while Jonny Ive drove his Tesla down 101 or visited the Queen at Buckingham Palace? Certainly, J. Ive will not take credit for Magic Mouse and its usual charging method.
Wait. There is more!
An iPad Pro works great with Apple Pencil. It looks like a pencil or pen, and graphic designers love it. Except one thing. To charge a pencil, you require that you hold it in a lightning gate. Uh huh Not USB. Plug it into the iPad Pro Lightning port, and let the iPad charge it while draining its own battery. I found a picture online that is worth a thousand words.
I know, right? Can you use pencil while charging? No. Go for lunch, take siesta, visit a Microsoft Store. Seriously, Apple? Would Steve Jobs have allowed such a design faux pas to see the light of day? If not, why did Jonny Ive allow such a bad mistake to make it into production?
Yes, Apple's iPhone X is beautifully designed. But it can still be used while being charged. Ditto for iPads and MacBooks. Not so for AirPods, but it is understandable before anyone comes up with a really wireless charge that keeps the small ear buds from air.
It is obvious that Apple's design store does not run 24/7, and based on what goes through cracks from the weekend fighters, even leaders take too many vacations; Probably sleeping on the wheel as their semi-autonomous self-propelled Teslas roads through traffic on 101 into town towards another wine tasting.
