Apple’s recent change in packaging means it no longer includes USB power adapters in the box, along with headphones. The only thing you get now is a USB-C to zipper cable, which requires you to buy your own USB-C power adapter if you do not have one.
This change also applies to all iPhone 12 models, along with the iPhone SE, iPhone 11 and iPhone XR.

An unexpected surprise? Along with less documentation, Apple now includes only one Apple sticker in the box instead of two. While this is not so dangerous, those who want two stickers may be disappointed (we have never used our stickers ever).

“This is my first look at the new iPhone box in 2020, since the charging block and earbuds were removed, the new iPhone box is now thinner than ever before. This is the same box that the new iPhone 12, iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 Pro come in, ”explains Rjey.
Apple’s website currently explains, for example, “as part of our effort to achieve our environmental goals, do not include the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max power adapter or EarPods. Use your existing Apple power adapter and headphones, or purchase these accessories separately. ”
This text applies to all iPhones currently sold on the Apple website.
Apple was recently ridiculed by Samsung for removing the USB power adapter with iPhone 12 models. But you can bet that other manufacturers will follow Apple’s decision here, as we’ve seen before.
