Back in March, Apple unknowingly canceled the hotly anticipated AirPower wireless charger. Until now, it was the last we heard of a wireless multi-device charger associated with the Cupertino company, but that has recently changed. Apple will soon offer a Mophie wireless multi-device charger in Apple stores according to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman.
So far, Apple has focused on providing standalone wireless charging companies such as Mophie, Native Union and Belkin. But according to Gurman, Apple will begin selling the Mophie Dual Charging Base in Apple stores starting next week, marking the first time Apple sells a wireless charger that can charge multiple devices at a time.
For wireless charging fans: Mophie launches an AirPower clone next week in Apple stores, I'm told. Looks like a thicker AirPower in black, but only two side by side units. 7.5 watts, also has a regular USB-A port. (Apple Canceled March right now. If you are interested in the new Mophie charger, it will reportedly cost $ 99 and wirelessly charge two devices at a time through 7.5 W.
These types of chargers are not new, they have been around for a while. But Apple probably kept that spot in its AirPower stores, which people would naturally choose, since it would have been Apple's own wireless charger. As this has changed, Apple has begun its life after AirPower, and it will include Mophie's new wireless charger.
9to5Mac reports that another wireless charger will also arrive at Apple stores at a later date. 3-in-1charging base that wirelessly charges two devices and has a tripod for charging Apple Watch as well. It will achieve the dream of charging the iPhone, AirPods and Apple Watch at once as AirPower put our heads down, but a little less magical.
Those who waited intensely for AirPower and did not pick up one of the available options have to take advantage of these chargers that Apple will now sell in their stores.
