Apple launches watchOS 7.0.2 with a solution for battery operation and more

Apple is ready to update the latest version of watchOS, with the aim of fixing an issue related to battery drain.

Apple has released watchOS 7.0.2 to the public. There is a minor update in the large scheme, and keeps the version number relatively low. However, for Apple Watch owners out there who run into these issues that are updated in the software update, it will be a welcome change.

To update your Apple Watch, make sure your smartwatch has at least 50% battery power, is connected to the iPhone, and is connected to the wireless charger. To update automatically, you must enable automatic updates. If you do not have this feature, open the Watch app, open General -> Software Update and follow the on-screen instructions.

This update resolves a battery issue issue, which will allow some users experiencing this issue some more battery life throughout the day. watchOS 7.0.2 also makes it possible to access the ECG app for some people who could not open it.

Here is the official exchange log for the watchOS 7.0.2 update:

watchOS 7.0.2 includes enhancements and bug fixes, including:

  • Resolves an issue that may cause the battery to drain faster
  • Resolves an issue that prevented some users from accessing the ECG app in regions where it is available

Some features may not be available in all regions or on all Apple devices. For information about the security content of software updates, visit this site:
