Apple announced the iPad Air 4 during the media event last month, but so far no one has managed to buy one. Apple said it expects to have the new iPad Air ready for use at some point in October, and it looks like the company will begin shipping marketing materials ready for sale to begin.
Bloombergs Mark Gurman has shared that the materials now find their way to the store, and that makes good sense with the release window for October.
The new iPad Air 1 will be available via Apple’s online store apple.com as well as the Apple Store app.
The new tablet will be sold in 30 countries with Wi-Fi models starting at $ 599, while mobile models start at $ 729. Capacities start at 64 GB.
The new iPad Air is set to be a big hit with an iPad Pro-like look and return of Touch ID. For the first time, Touch ID is built into the power button, which we hope will be Apple’s way to test it out on a large scale before we give the same function to the iPhone.
Apple’s marketing materials for the new iPad Air are starting to land in stores, suggesting a launch sooner rather than later. Apple said October, which is tomorrow – so not a surprise.

It’s not likely that we’ll see Touch ID come to the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro, but it’s always next year!
