Apple has announced a new series of coding training sessions that will be available to all Apple Stores in the first half of December. As part of Apple's All Can Code program, customers will be able to sign up for thousands of free Hour of Code sessions held in all Apple Stores worldwide from December 1st to December 14th. Sessions are part of Apple's Today at Apple Events, which provides opportunities for anyone to learn coding regardless of skill level. Specific Kids Hour sessions will also be held to help aspiring young coders (6-12 years) start coding with robots while older children can attend sessions using Swift Playgrounds and iPad to learn more advanced coding concepts.
In recognition of Computer Science Education Week, Apple has also created a new Time of Code Facilitator Guide to help trainers to participate in Swift Playground Sessions in their own classrooms, as well as a Swift Coding Club set that can be used to disable outskool coding programs. The new projects will give students eight and eight years of opportunity to collaborate, prototype apps and explore how coding can make a difference in their communities by using fun activities from Swift Playgrounds and App Development with Swift.
