Apple has released the latest update to Apple Watch, which causes a major bug fix, extended the availability of the ECG app, and more.
On Monday, Apple officially launched WatchOS 5.3 to the public. While the latest update does not add a lot of new features to the mix, it is not without its primary additions. It includes, to start, increasing the availability of the ECG app to two new regions, and an important bug fix.
First, the update itself. watchOS 5.3 is free to download and install. To get it on the smartwatch, first make sure it is connected and within the iPhone area, that Apple Watch has at least 50% battery life and that it is on the charger. Then open the Apple Watch app on iPhone, select General -> Software Update and follow the on-screen instructions.
Apple release notes confirm that watchOS 5.3 includes the ECG app for both Canada and Singapore. This means that people with smartwatch, running the latest version, in these areas will get irregular pulse messages.
In addition to this, watchOS 5.3 also contains a bug fix for the Walkie-Talkie app on the smartwatch. Apple recently suspended the app due to a bugging vulnerability. But with the latest update, it is updated and the app is good to go again.
You also need to install the update iOS 12.4 that was released earlier today to get all the benefits of watchOS 5.3.  Apple's watchOS 5.3 is available now. If there are any other major new features discovered after launch, we will update this post accordingly.
