Apple has updated its Apple Support app and brings the version number to 3.1 and adds a new feature that lets users chat with Apple experts using the iOS Messages app.
Unfortunately, the future is currently only available to users in the United States and covers only selected topics. We expect this feature to roll out internationally.
If you live outside the United States, you will still be able to take advantage of other changes to this release, including an improved way to schedule reservations. at your local Genius Bar or authorized service provider. As with such app updates, there are also some unspecified bug fixes and performance improvements that have entered this release.
The Apple Support app is a great way to check the warranty status of any Apple device associated with your Apple ID. It can also be used or reserved and interact with Apple's layers to get AppleCare support, whether via text or phone.
It's a great tool and one that Apple doesn't do a good job of promoting. The app can also be used to collect diagnostic data if necessary.
If you already have the Apple Support app installed on your iPhone or iPad, this update is waiting through the App Store Updates tab. If not, download it from the App Store right now and it's free.
We would definitely suggest that it be installed on your devices – you never know when it might come in handy.
