Apple Watch Series 7 to get major redesign next year, iPhone gets 120Hz screen in 2021

We expect Apple to announce the Apple Watch Series 6 tomorrow and the new iPhone series within weeks, but it turns out that we should not expect too much from any of the announcements. That’s if analyst Ming-Chi Kuo turns out to be right.

In particular, no 2020 iPhones will come with a 120Hz screen, nor will the Apple Watch Series 6 offer a redesigned look.

The news that the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro will not offer a 120Hz screen is one that will lead to some revolt. We’ve been hearing rumors for months that Apple was struggling with the feature, although it still tested it just a few weeks ago. The power consumption associated with such a screen seems to have paid for the function this year, with Kuo saying that 2021 iPhones will use a new LPTO screen technology to enable a lower power consumption of 120Hz.

As for the Apple Watch Series 6, Kuo also claims that we will not see a redesigned look when the new portable device is announced tomorrow. This will be disappointing news for many, although we still expect changes on the inside.

A new oxygen sensor for blood has once again been rumored, giving the laptop another string to a bow that has already saved countless lives. When it comes to seeing a redesigned watch, Kuo says again that next year will be what sees a new look.

Apple will hold a media event tomorrow, September 15, with Apple Watches and iPads that are said to be the order of the day. New iPhones seem to have to wait until next month, instead.
