The revolutionary ECG app for the Apple Watch Series 4 seems to be coming in Canada in the near future. According to the Health Canada database, Apple ECG licenses and irregular heart rate messages were approved on May 1
It suggests that it won't be too much longer before Apple rolls out this feature in the country.
Today, ECG heart rate reading technology is available in the United States, Hong Kong and 19 European countries. These include France, Germany, Italy, Spain, UK, and more.
Apple Watch ECG Technology
ECG functionality is made possible by the use of electrodes in the Apple Watch back and Digital Crown. To use it, all that a user needs is to put their finger on Digital Crown. This completes a circuit so Apple Watch can read the heart's rhythm in just 30 seconds. The iPhoneinCanada blog, which first reported this latest news, suggests that ECG functionality will roll out in Canada when the next watchOS update is released. That means for a while in June or July.
