"Now that Apple has finally updated MacBook Air, many people are trying to find out if they were buying the new model over the comparable price of the 2017 non-touch Bar MacBook Pro, Max Yuryev writes for AppleInsider.
"The new MacBook Air finally gets a retina screen, which is great, but compared to the MacBook Pro, it's a lot of dimmer," writes Yuryev. "The Pro's display supports P3 Wide colors, as Air does not make it much more colorful as well."
"With regard to portability, the air weighs one quarter pounds lighter than Pro, stacking them on top of each other, they are basically just as big, "writes Yuryev." The MacBook Pro guide is significantly bigger, even though the notebooks are virtually as large. "

MacDailyNews Take: Since our priorities for our roadmaps are size and weight vs. performance, we will dig to the air. If you use this as your primary or only Mac and need more performance, Pro is probably your better choice.
