Apple's annual holiday club is generally heart-warming issues that play on people's feelings of nostalgia and holiday jubilee, but the iPhone producer gave another thanks to this year's advertisement, which you can watch in this post. First, it's almost completely free of product placement – almost, except the young girl working on a sticker-covered MacBook in opening frames.
The more obvious change is this, however, the first time Apple has gone with a fully animated holiday ad.
The ad is based on an original song from 16-year-old artist Billie Eilish, called "Come Out and Play." The ad's theme, written on the last frame, is "Share Your Gifts," and at all we see a freckled young girl at work on her creations that will also keep them secret. Her dog looses them by opening a box, they blow out a window, people find them and start picking up things the young girl has created while looking nervously for their reaction. Of course, people end up loving them ̵
By USA Today Eilish created the song in his ad with his producer partner and brother Finneas O & # 39; Connell in the parents home using a Mac and Logic Pro X recording studio software. "Apple chose to showcase the holiday film for the first time Tuesday afternoon at the recently reopened Apple Street Store in Santa Monica, California, with a performance of Eilish and an interactive session with one of the film's illustrators." In line with the ad's theme, Apple also launched a few related videos today that have creators who use Apple products to get their work done alive. They are shown explaining their creative processes using products such as iMacs, and you can see them below.
