Why do you want to switch from OneDrive, can I ask? Don't say you don't have a good reason. It works well on Mac and now also supports files on demand, FWIW. I find it the best client for me on Mac, and having about the same experience on both is a plus for me. And it's generally low resource and just works quietly in the background. Some people use DropBox, which is cool. I am not personally a fan of iCloud for file synchronization because it does not support files on demand and has been a little more wonky to me when it comes to instant access to files and not least the cost. 1TB included in my 0365 subscription is pretty solid. I do not cancel the subscription at any time, so I expect that I might as well use the included OneDrive instead of paying for an additional service for the same functionality.
