Carrot Weather is out with an update today that brings a number of useful new features. Highlights include a new design for iPad as well as support for Slide Over and Split View multitasking. Users will also get iCloud synchronization and recovery, enhanced severe weather alerts, and more.
Only with the latest Carrot Weather iOS update is an overhaul for the iPad. The popular app now has Slide Over and Split View support for a great multitasking experience. Carrot Weather redesign for iPad makes better use of the larger canvas and also includes new keyboard shortcuts.
More current observation data points, a new detail screen for the day and popovers galore!
For Tier 3 subscribers, the app now automatically supports upgrades in the foreground, which can be exploited to create an always-on-weather iPad station.
iCloud syncing and restoring
iCloud synchronization and recovery comes with this update and will surely be a welcome addition for users of Carrot Weather. The feature will keep app settings, saved locations, weather stations, achievements and secret locations synchronized across your devices via iCloud.
Meanwhile, the recovery feature will make it a breeze to get started with the app just as you left it on new or restored devices. Check out the new iCloud section in Carrot Weather settings.
Enhanced Weather Alerts
Both severe weather forecasts and hurricane tracking alerts have been renewed to show more information for Tier 1 members.
Improved weather maps
Tier 2 members can now access more detail on weather maps when they knock on a storm cell or hurricane road.
 The update also includes custom air quality alerts, two new achievements and a secret location for.
Carrot Weather is available from the App Store for $ 5, with subscription in the app starting from $ 0.99 / month or $ 5 / year available to unlock several of the app's features.
