Cloudflare created 184.108.40.206 DNS to make web browsing faster and more private. In September 2019, the 220.127.116.11 service took a step further with the launch of WARP VPN for iOS and Android. WARP expanded Cloudflare’s DNS service by creating a user-friendly VPN such as:
- ensures that your data is secured while in transit.
- keeps networking between you and the sites you visit from spying on you.
- helps protect you from hackers snooping on your data while on a public Wi-Fi connection.
- Keeps your ISP from registering browser data and selling it to advertisers.
Cloudflare just announced via email the release of beta versions of its 18.104.22.168 VPN with WARP for macOS and Windows. They were originally announced in April 2020, but were not made available until now.
The beta versions work in the same way as the iOS and Android versions, but do not yet support WARP +. WARP + is Cloudflare’s subscription service that leverages its Argo Smart Routing to make accessing websites even faster.
One feature that the macOS and Windows versions have that the iOS and Android versions do not have is Cloudflares 22.214.171.124 for Family Malware and Site Blocking for Adults. Using the Malicious Software Blocking option, DNS Servers 126.96.36.199 and 188.8.131.52 will be used, and using Malware Blocking and Adult Content will use DNS Servers 184.108.40.206 and 220.127.116.11. Both of these options work with WARP VPN to secure and speed up your internet connection.
The WARP + subscription is expected to be added when the service is out of beta. Until then, the beta is free to download and use.
