Create GIFs from photos or videos on iPhone and iPad using shortcuts App



On the second day, I accidentally came across a hack to convert GIF images or videos with a shortcut on iPhone while digging out the shortcut app. The moment my eyes fell in the fast way, I was like "This deserves to be included in my exclusive kitty of the best iOS 12 Siri shortcuts!"

If you've tried your hands in the shortcuts app, you can be aware that it offers two separate shortcuts to transform images or cut into GIF. While many of you do not mind it, some of you might shoot your funny pictures or videos with a simple shortcut for simplicity.

Once you've customized it according to your workflow, it can create fun GIF, which can put your social media into fire. dead simple. Let me walk you through the steps!

Create a shortcut to convert images or videos to GIF

Step # 1. Launch Shortcuts app on your iOS device.

Step # 2. Now press Create shortcut button.

Step # 3. Then enter Create GIF in the search box and select Create GIF.

Step # 4. Enter Save File in the Search and choose it.

Sticky Note: By default, your file is stored in iCloud Drive. However, you can choose to save it in another ski service like Dropbox. To do this, press Service and select the preferred option.

Step # 5. Next up, touch the small settings icon at the top of right.

Step # 6. Give a appropriate name to the shortcut. Select a fine icon from it.

Check out the option to run this shortcut using your voice. To do so, press Add to Siri → Press Recording Button Talk / Write the Expression → Touch Done to Confirm

Now, press Done at the top right. Touch Ready to complete.

That's it! You've succeeded in a shortcut. Now, continue and convert your photos.

Note: This hack does not work with Live Photos. So be sure to choose simple pictures.

Step # 1. Open Photos app on your iOS device.

Step # 2. Now you navigate to the images or videos you want to use.

Touch Select and select the preferred images or choose a funny video then click the Share button.

 Select photos or videos in the Photos app and tap Share

Step # 3. Then select shortcuts app in the stock sheet.

Note: If you have not yet used the Shortcuts application, it will not appear in the stock sheet. In this case you must add it. To do that, press the More button and turn the switch next to shortcuts. Then make sure to tap Done to confirm.

Now wait a minute before the app has fully prepared your photos.

Step # 4. Next up, click the shortcut you just created. The app will instantly convert shot to GIF.

Now, save it to your favorite location by selecting the desired folder and pressing Add.
