Apple released the third beta of iOS 12.4, less than two weeks after the first version was available for download. The new update is merged by watchOS 5.3 beta 2 and tvOS 12.4 beta 2, with all three updates available for download.
The iOS 12.4 release is not expected to provide any new visual features to the iPhone or iPad, and so far none of the beta updates have done so.
However, this release is just one to add support to the upcoming Apple Card credit card that will be launched later this summer. Basically only available in the US, the Apple card integrates closely with the iOS ecosystem and of course Apple Pay.
This beta 3 edition is now available to registered developers to download either over-the-air on devices with the required profile installed, or via the Apple Developer Portal.
The current crop of iOS 12.4-bait comes warm on the heels of the public iOS 12.3, which brought the updated TV app to the platform.
Several dramatic changes are expected when Apple announces iOS 13 during its opening keynote for WWDC 2019 June 3, with some great new features and visual redesigns on the cards. It is a beta that we all look forward to getting your hands on shortly after the keynote comes to an end, and we will share our findings when we do.
