Although there are no shortage of email apps in the Mac App Store, very few of them are smart enough to hold the constantly loading inbox offers a better way to manage multiple accounts without having to jump from one end to the other, while most feature email apps guarantee a steep learning curve, while the minimalist lacks the tools to meet the demand This is why finding the right balance is the key to a simplified email management experience. I guess the Edison Mail app does the job perfectly.
Edison Mail App for Mac Review: Accelerate Email Management for Desired Productivity
Edison Mail app for Mac seeks to become an all-in-one platform for sails s e-mail management. The app has an intuitive user interface combined with AI-powered search, and the app seems fully equipped. But again, there is a big difference between showing plenty of promises and living up to expectations. So let's take a closer look at the email app to find out how well it stacks up!
Feature-rich but fairly easy to use
Probably the best part about Edison is that it doesn't look intimidating despite being feature-rich. Its sporty appearance for smooth sailing. , Edison rarely gets stuck in an ever-loosening loop, unlike many other colleagues. the presence of an AI-driven search for tracking a specific email and the intelligent personal assistant email management fairly straightforward.
Thanks to the personal assistant, you can keep your travels, entertainment and purchases organized. Not to mention, it also makes it easier to track packages, bills and receipts.
Focused Inbox and Today Folder to Keep Clutter At Bay
Except for the clean interface , Edison sports a focused inbox that displays only relevant emails instead of letting all kinds of emails mess up the entire inbox. This means you won't have to dig through your entire inbox to find important emails. It can save a lot of time and even play a crucial role in boosting productivity.
Another feature worth noting is the Today Folder that appears in the left sidebar of the email window. What makes it so useful is the ability to let you check out all the messages that have come on a particular day. So you can use this smart folder to easily keep track of the latest messages. And that too right from one place.
Block annoying senders and disable read receipts
One of the better ways to keep noise out of your inbox yours is blocking senders who continue to bombard too many irrelevant emails. To ensure that annoying senders stay away from the focused inbox, Edison offers a fairly straightforward way to block senders. As someone who prefers to keep the unified inbox tidy, I have found it quite noteworthy.
Although "read receipts" are a very useful feature, not everyone may find it worthwhile. Especially those who prefer to have privacy when opening an email. If you are one of them, chances are you will love this email app to offer the opportunity to disable read receipts aka the double edged sword.
For a personal experience, customization has an important role to play. And I have to say that Edison has looked up to the task on this front.
Based on your taste or for that matter what works best for you, you can customize this email client for macOS to take control of your unified inbox and even fine-tune the interface in line with the workflow.
In addition to customization, Edison has some quick actions so you can perform your tasks without having to take the roundabout roads. With an ever-growing library of templates at your disposal, it's still hard to find one that can come together nicely with a topic. Not only that, the app also offers a quick way to mute notifications to ensure unwanted notifications stay away.
But guess what, the feature that caught my eye in the Edison Mail App for Mac is the beloved Dark Mode . Yes, you've read it right! The beautiful dark theme not only makes the whole interface pleasing to the eyes, but also protects the eyes from straining. Save this cool feature for those times when you want to browse emails with complete peace of mind.
Integrated With All The Major Email Services
Edison is built to accelerate email management and improve productivity, providing seamless integration with all major email services, including Gmail, IMAP, iCloud, Yahoo! Mail, Outlook, Comcast, AOL and AT&T. So it doesn't matter if you use Yahoo! Mail, Gmail, or Outlook, you can use this email app for macOS to comfortably manage multiple accounts thanks to an obscure universal inbox.
A Couple of Downsides
When it comes to deficiencies, there are a couple of features that I think are missing. First and foremost, the app doesn't offer a way to turn off the thread. And second, when an email is marked as unread, it marks the entire thread as unread. Although this is no deal to me, I wish they were sorted out sooner than later.
The good news is that the company has confirmed that they are already working to fix these shortcomings. So there is no need to worry about them.
Price and Availability
Edison supports OS X 10.10 or later (64-bit processor). In terms of price, it is available for free.
The mobile device app (iOS and Android) has long been one of my top choices, mainly because of an aesthetic interface and a smart unified inbox. So I felt happy when the company introduced a full-fledged desktop app for Mac in December last year.
Although Edison for macOS is still relatively new, it can safely claim to be the best email app for Mac – with some distance. Whether it's the intuitive and fun interface, integration with multiple email services or cool swipe actions, the app has ticked off most boxes. And that without sacrificing speed and productivity – the two important aspects.
