Version 6.4.0:

  • Multiple vaults: We are very pleased to receive support from more than one vault in Enpass to work with family and team members, and keep our personal data separate in the Primary Vault. It was one of the most requested features from you. You can share a vault with others by syncing through a regular cloud account where each vault needs its own cloud account to sync. Just go ahead and give it a try!
  • Secure sharing: Each item you want to share with others can now be encrypted with a password phrase (call it a pre-shared key). You can create PSKs from Advanced Settings of Enpass, after which an additional option to encrypt with PSK appears while sharing the item. You must share PSK in advance with the intended recipient to enable them to import into Enpass. Use a different medium to share PSK than you would use to share the item. – “The keys are always kept hidden from the locks” 😉
  • Enpass Assistant: The minified Enpass is now called Enpass Assistant (formerly Helper). It provides excellent autofill experience with browser extensions, and you can invoke it from a keyboard shortcut or a system menu bar
  • Always run Enpass Assistant in docked mode: From now on, you can pin Enpass Assistant on the screen, and it will not disappear when you click outside it. You can enable it from the Enpass General settings under the Behavior section. When Enpass Assistant is open, you can also use the Shift + Ctrl + D hotkey to pin it to the screen
  • Keyfile Support: You want a super-duper strong master password, right! Yes, but memory has a limit to remembering it. No worries, you can use Enpass 6 to let you use Enpass-Keyfile in addition to your master password as another factor required to unlock Enpass on each platform.
  • Website Icons aka Favicons: The long awaited support for Favicons is now available in Enpass as Website Icons. Yippe! Go to Enpass Settings -> Customize -> Website Icons and see the list that switches default icons to the respective URLs
  • Pwned Password section in Password Audit: A section for the passwords that is Pwned (compromised in a hack) under the Password Audit sections. The app will probably check all your passwords against the list of passwords passed earlier (via haveibeenhacked.com), and if they are found, the compromised passwords will appear under this section, which we recommend that you should change immediately
  • Classic View: Many of our Windows users still love Classic View and demanded the same for Enpass. And here it is. For Windows 7 and 8, the app runs in the Classic theme by default, and for Windows 10 you must activate it from the Settings app> Customize> Theme> Select the Classic option and restart the app
  • Password subset: The function makes a comeback, Enpass now allows you to see specific characters in a password as specified by position. For example, “1st, 3rd, next to last, last” by simply mentioning the place in a specified format
  • Export of database in CSV format: Now in addition to JSON & TXT we also support export of your data in CSV format
  • Custom Icons: Let’s set any image as an icon for an item
  • Garbage and archives: You know what to do with garbage. Archive the unwanted items to be skipped while searching
  • Identities: Create identities with personal information to automatically fill out long, tedious registration forms with a single click
  • Multi-line field: This is a new field type where you can store data in several lines
  • History for each field: Similar to password fields, you can now see the history of changes in all kinds of fields in an item except notes
  • Dark theme: Added dark mode support on macOS Mojave and Linux
  • A separate section under the ‘Groups’ tab to quickly look at all TOTPs and attachments
  • Added localization support for African, Malaysian, Croatian, Hungarian, Indonesian, Romanian, Slovak and Swedish
  • Now use the PageUp / PageDown and Home / End buttons to scroll through the items in the item list
  • Improved user interface for light themes
  • Windows clipboard history will not have any data copied from the Enpass app
  • OS X 10.11 or later
