Epic is asking the court to force Apple to put Fortnite back in the App Store

It’s been a little over a week since Apple removed Epic Games’ developer account, and removed all of its games from the App Store in the process. Now Epic has asked a court to undo what is called “retaliation”, forcing Apple to put Fortnite back at least.

According to one Reuters report, Epic has filed a preliminary injunction seeking just that, saying it is “likely to suffer irreparable damage” if Fortnite is not put back in the App Store.

It also says that Apple̵

7;s move should be seen as nothing more than a “clear warning” to other developers about what could happen if the company is challenged.

“This was a clear warning to any other developer who would dare to challenge Apple’s monopoly: follow our rules, otherwise we will cut you off from a billion iOS consumers – challenge us and we will destroy your business,” Epic Games said on Friday. archiving.

However, Epic ignores the fact that it was warned that the developer account would be removed if it did not remove the bypass in-app purchases from Fortnite. It did not, so the developer account was removed. Apple is not doing anything that it has not already told Epic that it would do. Epic also deliberately broke the App Store rules, so it’s hard to believe it’s trying to claim that it’s being made difficult.

With Fortnite now missing from the App Store, millions of iPhone and iPad players are left without access to the game. Anyone with it already installed can still play, but they may not enjoy the latest updates or content. At this point, the only ones who are put out without doing anything wrong are games.
