On a regular basis, Apple World Today publishes a list of notable new apps or app updates that have been released. They are not necessarily new, but they are popular and deserve publicity. Here are this week’s choices.
CleverFiles has announced Disk Drill for Mac 4, an update to the macOS data recovery solution.
Disk Drill has a robust set of file recovery tools that can undo files from almost any device (including data recovery from devices with T2 encryption chip), and offers iOS 14 and Android Recovery, macOS Big Sur support. Version 4 is powered by features such as:
° Time Machine Recovery: Analyze the Time Machine backups and extract all the data you need without having to restore the backups.
° Data Shredder: delete all files and folders securely.
° Free disk space: delete free space on any disk. Ensures that others cannot recover what was deleted by wiping hard disk space marked as free.
° Clean up: allows you to free up some space and quickly get a data map of all existing files and folders to remove space hogs.
Also, the Find Duplicate feature now scans the duplicate content drivers to free up some extra space. This provides a way to remove duplicates from network folders and online storage accounts such as Dropbox or Google Drive. Data Shredder and more.
Disk Drill 4 is available for download free. Registration for the Pro version is US $ 99.
Smile has released PDFpen and PDFpenPro 12, an update to the versatile PDF editing tool for Mac.
PDFpen and PDFpenPro 12 work with PDFpen for iPad and iPhone, enabling seamless cross-device editing when used with Dropbox or iCloud.
PDFpen sells for $ 79.95, and PDFpenPro for $ 129.95. Family Pack licenses, which cover up to five computers in a household, are $ 99.95 for PDFpen and $ 159.95 for PDFpenPro. Office Pack licenses start at $ 249.95 for PDFpen (five users) and $ 374.95 for PDFpenPro (five users).
Upgrades from previous single-user versions of both applications cost $ 35, and are free for users who purchased on January 1, 2020 or later. Upgrades from any previous version of PDFpen to PDFpenPro 12 are $ 50. Upgrade rates for family and office suites are available at the Smile online store.
PDFpen and PDFpenPro 12 require macOS 10.13 (High Sierra) or later. Full versions of PDFpen and PDFpenPro can be purchased in the Mac App Store. The PDFpen is also available via a subscription from Setapp.
Feral Interactive has rolled out A Total War Saga: TROY for macOS (10.5 and higher). It’s exclusively available from the Epic Games Store for $ 49.99.

CS Odessa has released ConceptDraw OFFICE 7, an update to their business productivity software for macOS and Windows. The new version boasts new and improved versions of all aspects of the OFFICE package, including charting, mind mapping and project management tools.
ConceptDRAW OFFICE 7 requires (on the Mac platform) macOS 10.14 or later. It includes ConceptDraw MINDMAP 12, ConceptDraw PROJECT 11 and ConceptDraw DIAGRAM 14 and sells for $ 499 with all components available in a suite and individually.
Mike Clay has released PlayTally, a new app that lets users explore Apple Music listening history, stats, and trends.
Users can track their Apple Music listening history for games, see their top songs and artists in real time, and earn prizes as they listen more and expand their library. PlayTally creates its own timestamped game discs using background tasks application programming interface introduced in iOS 13.
The app is free, but offers in-app purchases. It requires iOS 13 or later.
