Fantastical 3.2 provides twelve fully customizable iOS 14 widgets and Scribble support on the iPad



Fantastic maker Flexibits today launched an iOS 14-focused update of the productivity calendar and task app for iOS, watchOS and macOS, providing a dozen customizable and free iOS 14 widgets, as well as support for Apple’s Scribble feature in iPadOS 14. which lets you type into the Fantasticals text box with an Apple Pencil.

The update brings twelve native Fantastic widgets to iPhone, iPad and Mac, like other iOS 14 widgets, Fantasticals is available in several sizes. Small widgets are limited to displaying the date or next upcoming event or task. Medium displays a little more information or monthly calendars side by side. And finally, large widgets provide a thorough agenda at the expense of screen space.

Fantastic widgets also include weather, which means that a single widget can display dates, events, tasks and weather. Thanks to these interactive widgets, customers can now customize the exact view of Fantastical they want on the home screen.

Fantastical 3.2 also adds Scribble support for the iPad.

Scribble lets you use an Apple Pencil to enter text fieldx, with Apple’s handwriting recognition that instantly turns your writing into typed text. You can write all sorts of things with your pencil, such as event information, assignment and note.

And with Fantastical’s advanced natural language parser, the app will instantly convert your writing into an actual event or task. For example, if you type something like “Lunch with Seb at 123 Main Street on Friday”, the app will instantly convert the sentence into an event and add it to your calendar.

The update will roll out later today. All 12 great widgets will be free for all users, although advanced widget features, such as conference call detection / pairing and calendar sets, require a fantastic Premium subscription.

Great for iOS, watchOS and iMessage are available in the App Store.

Fantastical for macOS is available on the Mac App Store.
