In a recent discussion in the Apple Support Community (ASC), a user complained that a particular Chinese character was not displayed correctly. As it turned out, it was one of those places where Chinese and Japanese forms are quite different, and the phone showed the Japanese version. This is because the device uses a Japanese font, instead of a Chinese, whioh will happen if Japanese is higher than Chinese in the preferred language list. The special character was that of "drink":
