Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G vs iPhone 11 Pro Max

Samsung launched its two new Galaxy Note phones this year: Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G. These new and luxurious phones are aimed at phone enthusiasts who are ready to go to the next level. Anyone who wants a high-tech phone with the S Pen, the powerful Snapdragon 865 Plus and a triple camera module is welcome to join the league.

note 20 vs iPhone 11 pro max

Samsung is not the only one offering a great device that has “got it all”. This year’s iPhone is the iPhone 11 Pro Max, and it’s Apple̵

7;s newly launched animals in the market. A technical masterpiece with its beautiful design, lively screen and amazing power, you can be sure that it is one of the best phones. Both of these devices start over the $ 1000 mark, so one cannot own both. So which one should you buy and why? We found out in this review.

Comparison of specifications for Galaxy Note 20 and iPhone 11 Pro Max

Comparison of design, screen and durability

Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G is a beautiful phone, especially when you choose the Mystic Bronze color. The giant 6.9-inch AMOLED screen extends from end to end without distraction from the frame. Even the front camera is nicely hidden, so you can not even tell. The edges are curved, and the S Pen’s dock has been moved to make use of the phone more ergonomic.

iPhone has its own different approach when it comes to phone design. The device is slim edged, but the notch at the top of the screen is more noticeable than the Note 20 Ultra 5G. It’s not a bad device at all, because the new matte texture on the back feels and looks great.

Both phones have OLED screen, which is another word for a large screen phone with fantastic screen. The screen on the Note 20 Ultra is sharp and sharp, but you may need to put both screens together to feel the difference. Galaxy Note 20 Ultra is updated at 120Hz, which means that it will be updated twice as often as the iPhone with the 60Hz screen. This means that the Galaxy Note is more responsive and looks sharp.

When we talk about durability, there is not much that separates the two units. Both phones have an IP68 rating and are

  • Water and dust resistant
  • Slim, with original glass bodies (iPhone has a stainless steel frame, which makes the phone heavier and more durable)

Both of these phones look gorgeous and feel luxurious to hold, but it’s the 120Hz screen on the Note 20 Ultra 5G that the iPhone just can’t match.

Battery comparison

Both of these phones are powerful, so rest assured that you get a powerful device no matter what you choose. The Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 Plus, and frequent users will notice the smooth switching between apps and perform fast functions, 3D games or anything you use the phone for. The A13 Bionic processor on the iPhone 11 Pro Max is pretty much the same, and although the A13 tends to get higher numbers in references, it may not translate into a concrete difference in real life. You tell the same story when it comes to RAM – since iOS uses RAM in a different way than Android, the big difference between the two will not affect as much as possible.

The Note 20 Ultra 5G contains the larger battery of these two competitors, and we think it was able to carry the weight of heavy use, but still works well from morning to night. However, we are up against Apple’s monster. The iPhone 11 Pro Max shows an incredibly long life in our user review, and it is not difficult to see the device run for at least two days with normal use. Note 20 Ultra is faster when it comes to charging and wireless Powershare that charges other devices, but it is clear that batteries that need to be charged less provide more comfort.

Camera comparison

Every time a flagship phone enters the market, it will generally come in with some camera enhancements, and these phones are no different. Galaxy Note 20 Ultra has a rear module with triple lens, with an ultra-wide angle lens of 12MP and a telephoto lens in the same ratio. You also get a 10MP selfie camera on the front as well. The camera software is also top notch which makes images stand out. You can take great pictures in rich colors with Note 20 Ultra 5G.

Apple’s new iPhone can only be overtaken by the Huawei P40 Pro which was the winner of our best camera phone list for the release of the new Chinese flagship. Needless to say, the three 12MP lenses in the iPhone 11 Pro Max capture some great stills and professional video. Which is better of the two? We are inclined towards the iPhone to take better photos, but you also have a lot to love about the saturated photos the note makes. We think this is a draw.

Software comparison

The Android vs iOS debate is more about a person’s taste than the phones. These are two operating systems with cons and cons, and you may already know or have a specific device in mind you prefer. On the plus side, barriers in functionality and specifications between the two devices have fallen over the years (this year ends with the addition of widgets in iOS 14), so choosing between these two is not a big change, but just an overlap. You should note here that Samsung uses its own manufacturer skin on each Android device, One UI 2. It gives the user a number of additional customization options for creating Android, but it is not one of our favorite skins by any means.

It’s a good thing to have your own manufacturer’s skin, but One UI 2 is probably why updates take up a lot of time on Samsung phones. Samsung is known for taking up to 6 months to deliver the latest versions of Android – something you will not experience when you switch to iPhone. Apple is releasing updates for its phones on the same release date.

Special features

The iPhone 11 Pro Max is a phone full of unique features. The first one mentioned is Face ID, Apple’s original phone locking method that scans your face to use it to unlock your phone. The same feature is used in Memoji and Animoji that allow you to create a cartoon version of yourself or an animal head. Both characters are designed to copy your head movements. iOS 13 came out with a dark mode that you can use on all major applications and customize.

The iPhone is fighting a Galaxy Note here, a phone known for its special features. On this device you get all the features you expect from a flagship Samsung phone. This includes Bixby, Dex desktop mode and 5G – and S Pen. This small pen, called the S Pen, can control your phone as a remote control or with air movements, can scratch notes for you on the phone screen, and provides more control that a user cannot get with one finger. The note stands out with the debut of the S Pen.

Price and availability

The iPhone 11 Pro Max is currently sold in stores and operators in the United States, and prices start at $ 1100. Prices for the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G start at a whopping $ 1,299, and you can easily find it like most major stores around the United States.

Overall winner: Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G

The comparison between Apple and Samsung is just as sharp, and this time Samsung’s Galaxy Note is the winner. The Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G is undoubtedly a modern masterpiece with its razor-sharp processor, great camera and solid battery life. Samsung’s latest phablet model is the winner here. Compared to the two phones, it is definitely the better one.

However, this is a review of both units based on structure and functionality. If you prefer to keep an iPhone, consider buying an iPhone 11 Pro Max. It is also a wonderful device and you will not regret your choice. But if the S Pen seems like a good idea, buy the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G.
