It looks like a new Instagram feature can soon be on the way that works quite similar to macOS and the iOS Photo Booth app.

After FaceApp his age filter was revived and quickly recovered virally again, there is no surprise that Instagram would find ways to increase the selfie game.

App researcher Jane Manchun Wong uncovered the unpublished feature that essentially places the user in front of a "green screen."

Wong took to Twitter to share a pair of screenshots from the feature, apparently called "background . ”

The feature will allow users to select a photo from their camera roll and use it as a background for their Stories camera.

It is currently unclear whether users will be able to use videos as a background or whether it is limited to static images only. [19659003] Wong also uncovered an AR sticker effect in the works.
