The iPad has much larger screen property, so it only makes sense that it gets its own interface that utilizes the larger screen space. CARROT Weather 4.12 brings a whole new iPad design that utilizes space better. It includes split screen and slide show mode, so you can make sure you know the weather at any time of day when using the iPad, and there are also shortcuts to make your life easier.
Tier 3 subscribers will also allow you to enjoy automatic refresh updates on the iPad. This means that if you have an extra iPad lying around the house, you can turn it into an always on, wall mounted weather screen.

One of our favorite tabloids
CARROT Weather has been one of my most important weather apps for quite some time now. I have always loved the interface and the design, and CARROT itself is a fun AI that packs in quite a hint of snark and sarcasm. There is so much about CARROT Weather, and this update has made the app even more useful.
CARROT Weather itself is a download of $ 5 in the App Store. However, while you can use the app freely with the $ 5, you can also subscribe to one of the three-tier memberships for even more features, but all of them are completely optional .
Tier 1 unlocks alerts, additional data sources and Apple Watch background updates and costs $ 1 a month or $ 5 a year. Tier 2 gets everything in Tier 1, as well as additional charts, custom alerts, and extra data sources for Apple Watch users. Level 2 costs $ 2.50 a month or $ 12 a year. Tier 3 gets all the Tier 1 and Tier 2 features, plus rain, lightning and storm cell alerts (if available) and costs $ 8 a month or $ 25 a year.
The reason for the pricing of membership is because the Apple Watch complication is updated every 30 minutes, and the data provider such as CARROT Weather user charges a small amount for every request about data, and this is quickly up when an Apple Watch asks for 48 updates a day. Without the complication, the average person using the Apple Watch app will only update it once or twice a day compared to someone using the complication.
Still, the pricing for membership is all optional and not necessary to use the app at all. We still believe that CARROT Weather is one of the better weather apps available and well worth the first $ 5 price tag.
