HiRise Wireless

Manufacturer: Twelve South

Retail: $ 79.99

Twelve South's HiRise Wireless charger is talented. It stands on the desk or bedside table and charges your phone in a standing position so your screen is visible. It includes a unique feature; the oval Qi charging plate is removable. When you are traveling, you can leave the base at home and just take a Qi cushion in your pocket. In addition, the pad will charge Apple's new AirPods.

As a person who has a career in product development, I appreciate good design. Twelve South shines when it comes to thoughtful, carefully considered products with innovative features. The handsome new HiRise Wireless charger looks great, performs well and is a treat for the eyes. There are mirror-finished gunmetal chrome that match Apple's Space Gray. It weighs 454 g significantly. The base and back of the Qi pad are non-slip rubber and the surface of the Qi pad is in black leather.

The base is satisfactorily heavy and does not slip if you need to use the monitor while the phone is on the charger. The back of the Qi cushion has a tiny, intrusive LED that shines blue while the phone is charging and green when it is complete.

The cushion has a USB-C connector and a 1.5-inch (1.5M) USB-C for USB-A cable for fast charging. This allows to charge the charger from almost any power source, including the Mac. USB-C compatibility means you can connect it to your MacBook for charging while on the go.

MyMac Review rating is 9 out of 10. Well done, twelve south.
