In the presence of Gmail, Yahoo! Mail and Hotmail, Apple finds it challenging to pursue users to go to the standard Mail app on Mac. However, there are many Apple loyalists who prefer Mail app over other popular customers. For such users, you can set up email communications effectively by setting up Rules in the Mail app. While setting up Rules requires a lot of time and effort, I have taken an extract of the whole thing: Color code email.
When sending color code emails in the Mail app on Mac, you get to know a lot of things about the mail before opening it. Colors immediately take your attention, so color-coding email messages on Mac can help you decide what to do with a particular post.
How to set up a color code in e-mail program on macOS
Step # 1
Step # 2. Now click on Mail from the menu bar, → click on Preferences.
Step # 3. Then click the Rules tab → click Add rule .
Step # 4. Here you must describe the rule; In other words, give an appropriate name to the rule.
For example, I want color code emails containing & # 39; iGB & # 39; in subject lines.
To set the state, I would select & # 39; Topic & # 39; from the first drop-down list under & # 39; If. & # 39; In the next drop-down list, I select & # 39; Contains & # 39; and in the last text field, I must enter this term: iGB.
You can choose other conditions instead of Subject; The first drop-down list has options to specify priorities and determine the sender by the record.
After setting conditions, select actions. Click the first drop-down menu and select & # 39; Set message color. & # 39; You can either select background or text ; And finally, you can choose the color from the last drop-down menu.
Once you have set the conditions and the following actions, click OK button.
Step # 6. A popup appears on the screen asking you to confirm your action, click Use button.
From now on, you should receive email with color code you have entered on your email.
If this doesn't work properly, Apple Support notes that "Mail stops using rules for a message when it meets Stop Evaluation Rules action, or when a message is transferred to another mailbox using rules used on an email server or computer or device synchronized with the computer.
Please also note that the rules you entered in the Mail app will be applied to the emails in the order you set up. The first rule applies first, and so on. reorganize the rules by dragging them up or down.
