How to fix missing data and battery operation in Apple’s iOS 14, WatchOS 7

If you’ve been struggling with a new set of technical issues since the launch of iOS 14 and WatchOS 7 in mid-September, Apple has some potential solutions to try.

In a recently published support article, Apple runs through a list of issues that users of the new operating system updates have encountered in recent weeks. These include missing or inaccurate data in health apps on iOS and WatchOS, the same apps that do not load, and increased battery life on the iPhone and Apple Watch.

In all, there are seven points listed in the support article. Apple notes that users experiencing two or more of these issues should try a fairly involved set of steps that could lead to a solution. Note that the process includes a system reset for iPhone, so be prepared for that.

Apple asks users to connect their phone and watch, then create an iCloud backup ̵

According to Apple, the following steps should “prevent future data loss.” You will find the details of each step that are posted in much more detail in the support article.
