Epic Games’ ongoing battle with Apple has made it impossible for you to log in Fortnite account using “Log in with Apple” from September 11, 2020. If you do not save your account today, you may lose access to the game – and all your data.
Fortunately, saving your account is easy, and it only takes a couple of minutes. We show you how.
Apple has already started up all the Epic Games titles from the App Store and revoked the company’s developer account as a result of a huge dispute over App Store fees. It will probably take a while before we see a solution – if at all – and the situation only gets worse. ->
After Epic asked a California court to sue Fortnite being reintroduced on iOS, and then Apple received for damages, Apple has decided that it will prevent Fortnite players from using the Sign In with Apple feature. Those who want to keep accounts must act now.
Save your Fortnite account today
Just follow these steps:
- Visit the Epic Games settings page and sign in with your Apple ID.
- Click General.
- Under Account information, make sure your email address reflects your current email address and that you have access to this account.
- Visit the Epic Games Change Your Password page and sign in with your Apple ID.
- Create a new password.
If you are unable to do this right now and you are locked out of your Epic Games account, you will need to contact Epic Games to restore your account. Epic says that it “may” be able to recover accounts manually, but there is no guarantee.
What happens now?
After following the steps above, you will be able to log in Fortnite uses your current email address and the new password you created. You will maintain access to your account and all your data, including all items you have purchased within Epic Titles.
When Sign In with Apple disappears from Fortnite, it will no longer be possible to access Epic titles using this method. Those who do not save their accounts in advance risk losing them forever.
Apple will no longer allow users to sign in to Fortnite using “Sign in with Apple” as soon as September 11, 2020. If you used “Sign in with Apple”, make sure your email address and password are up to date. https://t.co/T0Rq0tfrR7

Unfortunately, as many of the rules and restrictions Apple imposes on app developers, this hurts users the most. Epic does not really benefit from Logging In with Apple. Apple does not need to block Epic from using it. It’s just another power movement that consumers have to pay for.
