Apple has a Bluetooth wireless keyboard which means you can configure it for use on an iPhone, iPad and most Android smartphones and tablets. What should you not like?
If the Bluetooth wireless keyboard is connected to a desktop iMac, Mac mini or Mac Pro, you are stuck without a keyboard while using it on your mobile device. It's not good, but Typeeto addresses the problem by letting you use the keyboard on your Mac to type on your iPhone, iPad, Apple TV or Android device.
In other words, you do not need an additional Bluetooth wireless keyboard for your mobile device. Just use the keyboard on your Mac, whether it's Apple's wireless keyboard or the Mac keyboard. There's not much to set up Typeeto to make it work, either. Make sure Bluetooth on your Mac is on. Install Typeeto. Pair Mac and mobile device as normal and confirm pairing on device.
From then on, when you are ready to type something directly on the iPhone, iPad or whatever, just click the Menu bar icon, select your device and bingo! The Mac keyboard works on the mobile device.
Forget using the Apple TV keyboard on the screen. It's like 1999. Swap your Mac notebook and use that keyboard instead. You can even cut and paste or copy and paste between devices that use the Mac as the wireless keyboard.
Typeeto comes with sound effects and shortcuts. During installation, it detects the device automatically, but it can be changed easily.
How many devices can you connect to your Mac and use Typeeto for typing? The developer says there are no restrictions on the number of devices, but I connected with two iPhones, two iPads and an Apple TV with ease.
Finally, you get an instant keyboard for any mobile device you carry around. It's much easier, faster and more accurate to use the Mac's built-in keyboard on the iPad, iPhone, or whatever it is to use the on-screen keyboard.
Even better, Typeeto is cheap, and you no longer have to turn around an extra keyboard just for iOS devices.
