How to use family sharing calendars



One of the biggest headaches for many families is coordinating schedules. From football rehearsals to ballet performances to a night without children, family sharing can also help you make sure everyone is where they need to be, when they need to be. Once you enable Family Sharing, a shared calendar is automatically created for you. All you have to do is start using it!

How to use family sharing with the Calendar app

  1. Start Calendar app on iPhone or iPad when you have already enabled and configured Family Sharing.
  2. Make one new event or tap an existing one that you want to appear on family calendar.
  3. Press Calendar.
  4. Select the selected calendar Family.
  5. Fill in your event and press Add at the top right of the screen.

    Use family sharing in the calendar: Tap Calendar, tap Family, tap Add after completing your event

Everyone in your family sharing group will see everything that is added to the family calendar via the Calendar app. They will also receive messages related to events, so that everyone can stay up to date on who needs to be where and when.
