Step # 1
Step # 2. Open now any document.
Step # 3. On your iPad, tap the small menu icon at the top of left on the screen.
On your iPhone, you need to press three dots at the top right of the screen.
Step 4. Finally, turn on the switch for Word Count and then click Done.
That's pretty much it! From now on, will see the total number of words at the bottom of a document.
What if you want to see the word count of the selected text? Pretty simple. All you have to do is simply select the text in the file and the word count will automatically update to show the number of words.
Later, if you decide to hide the word in the Pages app on the iOS device, head over to the menu (following the steps above) and turn off the switch at the end.
