Let me explain; Series 4 is beautiful. That screen size, data rate. I came from a series 1, so I was quite impressed with everything.
But the building quality has been very, very spotty, to say the least. I have received Series 4 watches with scuffs and unremovable markings on aluminum out of the box. All those who are not scuffed have uneven background illumination and considering that gray is a major part of the Series 5 OS OS, I feel this is too big to ignore, especially since I pay almost twice my Series 1. I've exchanged so many series of 4 watches over the past two weeks, I've lost count, honestly. Now I'm just thinking about giving up, at least for the moment.
The Series 3 will be $ 200 on Black Friday, and frankly I'm considering getting it until the screen is sorted out, if ever. I have been without a consistent watch for almost 2 months and it is a bit bothered by me. That being said, there is also money that I take away from my future Series 4 purchase, so I'm not sure if it's a smart move if I finally want the Series 4.
