"Apple is currently assuming 5G connectivity as a feature of 2019 iPhones, in favor of waiting a year before supporting wireless technology," AppleInsider reports Malcolm Owen. "While speculation and analysis suggest that it is likely, Intel has apparently confirmed that it will not be able to help Apple if it decided to add 5G to the iPhone this year."
"Intel leaders recommended to Reuters on Friday devices using their 5G modems will not be for sale until 2020," says Owen. "While Intel is not named specific companies affected by the announcement, as it is an important provider of modems for Apple, it comes effectively into this year's iPhone models, will not be 5G enabled if they use Intel's modems. "
" Intel is not the only company that has created a 5G compatible modem. On Tuesday, the Qualcomm Snapdragon X55 unveiled the 5G modem with the potential to offer download speeds of up to 7 gigabits per second and support for "all major frequency bands", but the ongoing legal battle with Apple means it won't look in an iPhone when anytime soon, "reports Owen." 2020 iPhones can't even use a modem designed by Intel or anyone at all, when Apple is supposed to work on bringing the component's design internally … "

Apple is going to wait 5G is worth the support, don't rush it to the market to tick the ignorant with a mark on a specification sheet that most people will never use in 2019. If 5G actually was enough people in 2019, Apple would have a 5G iPhone available ig in 2019. 5G is still very much in the trial phase and will have very limited availability in 2018.
