Go Go Go! Submission for both iOS 12 and macOS Mojave apps has been activated with the Xcode 10 GM release that came directly after Wednesday's event. I can not wait for all the new Siri activities that will probably start showing with these updates! 🤖

It appears that it is not possible to submit apps that include the new Complication APIs, but who is mad enough for them to complete just a few hours after they were announced? 🤔

I do not want to talk much about the new hardware that you undoubtedly have read a million words on it already. All I want to say is that as someone who has started taking my health even more seriously in the past year, the new clock was what stood out for me. The overall improvements are amazing, and AFib detection and ECG are incredible features. The AFib detection is also a good example of how something we first looked like a ResearchKit project has now entered the core system. This is amazing work from Apple, and I still think HealthKit has great potential to change the world of medicine even longer. I hope they get the necessary approvals to roll out these features outside of the US itself! I'm lucky my heart is doing for now, but I still want to keep an eye on it!

I had no hesitation in ordering a new clock (and phone!) Like the previous options opened this morning, although it was from a slightly unusual location. 😂

Future of Fabric

This is not a "Not surprisingly, I've been waiting for an announcement since the acquisition last year. The bad news is that Firebase is now a necessary addiction if you want to continue using Crashlytics and that some other features in Fabric are gone. It's not that Firebase It's bad, far from it! You even get more features when you make the switch, but it's a big addiction if you used to just used Crashlytics.

Exit CacaoPods Warnings

I've never been a big fan of disabling all cautions when importing a CocoaPod so I was interested in seeing this little hack from Artur Grigor that allows specific warnings to be turned off for a pod. Of course, a better solution to this is to fix the warnings in the pods you use and submit drawer requests! 🛠

CMMotionActivity

Is CMMotion Activity getting a "falling" state after this week's announcements? Probably not, but it has states for many other classes of motion like cycling, walking, running and traveling in a vehicle. Mat Thompson provides the NSHipster treatment.

Before the main theme was completed, these devices were hit for New iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max devices were made available. It takes some time for the official marketing images to be released, so this is perfect for getting everything up to date with the latest devices. There is also an iPhone XR version available if you want some color!

How big is Apple Watch Series 4?

A fun set of pictures that shows how the size of the new clock and the New Screen has changed with this iteration. I think this is a particularly good look at how the huge increase in screen size only makes a small difference to the clock size.
