I share a good deal of my bike training indoors on a Tacx Neo in erg mode. The trainings are watt-based and therefore the resulting kJ is quite accurate. Plus minus 1%.
Unfortunately, Apple Watch comes with numbers up to 20% below the actual values for endurance exercises, and also around 10% above the actual thresholds for VO2Max trainings.
The error margin is pretty constant. For the endurance traits, I think my low heart rate causes the problem. Looks at 120-230 bpm at 70% FTP. I am without any sense of high intensity. I have max out at 165 bpm.
Is there a way to fix this? Or maybe a simple solution? All feedback is appreciated.
