MacVoices # 20232: MacVoices Live! – Open microphone night (2)

Our MacVoices Live! The Open Mic Night session with David Ginsburg, Frank Petrie, Kelly Guimont, Brittany Smith and Guy Serle shifted to our reflections on the loss of guitar legend Eddie Van Halen, and became serious about the conclusions drawn by the US House Judiciary Antitrust Subcommittee on Technical Companies, including Apple.

Show notes:

David Ginsburg is president of Suburban Chicago Apple Users Group, and is an IT professional that supports Mac, iOS and Windows users. Find and follow him on Twitter as @ daveg65. You can also hear him share his knowledge on his podcast, In touch with iOS.

Frank Petrie is the author and contributor to ScreenCastsOnline Magazine. Follow him on Twitter and check out his website, ympnow.com.

Kelly Guimont is a longtime Apple nerd, and sits down (on a phone book) in front of an Apple IIe in 1983. She can still hear the ticking of ImageWriter. Thanks to the miracle of the adjustable leg table, she no longer needs the phone book. Kelly writes for Mac Observer, is the host for Daily Observations Podcast, is co-hosted The aftershow, and still has more to say that she saves for Twitter and Micro.blog.

Brittany Smith is a cognitive neurologist who offers a range of consulting services through his business, Currency and Conquer which includes ADD / ADHD coaching, technology coaching, productivity consulting and more. She is a self-proclaimed “well-rounded geek”, and has an MS degree in cognitive neuroscience. She can be found on Twitter as @addliberator. Check out her latest project, a YouTube channel with technical tips.

Guy Serle, best known for being one of the presenters for MyMac Podcast, sincerely regrets everything he has done or caused to happen while in possession of dangerous podcasting equipment. He should know better, but being blonde from Florida means he is probably not able to understand the damage he has done. Guy is also the author of the novel, The Maltese cube. You can follow his exploits on Twitter, catch him on Mac for the future on Facebook, and find everything on VertShark.com.
