Microsoft dreamed its Edge browser for MacOS earlier this month, and now the company allows the power of Mac users to download a preview. While Edge for Mac leaked a little early during Microsoft's Build Conference, the company officially supports the daily Canary building by Edge for Mac now for MacOS 10.12 and later. Microsoft says the weekly Dev channel build will be available "very soon" and you will be able to run both sides side by side.
Microsoft has been working to support Mac keyboard shortcuts, and the company also adds touch bar support, with media control slider options and the ability to switch tabs from the touch bar. Rounded corners for tabs are also available in the MacOS Edge version, and Microsoft plans to include the same user interface for the Windows version.
Microsoft also announced new privacy controls for the Edge Chromium and a new collection feature for the collection of images, text, and general online notes. These new features are not yet available in the Mac or Windows version of Edge yet, but they will be available for testing in the coming weeks. You can download the Edge for Mac preview on the Microsoft Edge page.
